Description

A Design Engineer in our Components division is responsible for completing the following duties:

  • Coordinate product design and development for components used in processing bulk material and aggregates as well as package handling
  • Design and detail custom components for conveying equipment
  • Perform design analysis for components
  • Create detail drawings
  • Complete bills of material
  • Evaluate and implement design changes
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Design analysis, drawings, and bills of material are accurate
  • Use SolidWorks, Windows-based, and Google-based programs effectively

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or related education
  • Thorough understanding of:
    • Drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances
    • Mechanical power relationships such as horsepower, torque, speed, ratios
    • Shaft, bearing, and power transmission design and analysis
    • Strengths of materials and structural analysis
    • ASD steel design code
  • Training and/or experience in using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
