Morris Area Child Care Center (MACCC) is a nonprofit center serving families and children ages 6 weeks to 7 years in Stevens County, Minnesota.


The Morris Area Childcare Center is a non-profit organization in Morris, MN. We are looking to hire a director that has a passion for children and learning and is a talented leader that will help MACCC provide exceptional childcare experiences for the families that we serve.

Job Summary:

The Morris Area Childcare Center is committed to providing high quality early childhood learning experiences and care for children ages 6 weeks to kindergarten. The Center Director is responsible for overseeing the overall operations including educational programming, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for the children in our care, providing excellent customer service to our families, communicating with outside organizations, achieving profitability, and maintaining compliance with Rule 3. The Center Director will also bring innovative, new ideas to enhance MACCC’s educational programming, profitability, and daily operations. This person will be responsible for managing a team of 10-12 employees. The ideal candidate will be a professional with excellent communication and managerial skills with the ability to lead MACCC in continuing to provide exceptional care and early childhood education for our community.

  • Meet both the director and teacher qualifications under MN Rule 3
    • Have 6 months of staff supervision or human resource experience AND
    • A bachelor’s degree in any field with at least one year of childcare center experience OR
    • Elementary Education license OR
    • AAS in Early Childhood Education or Child Development with 6 months of childcare center
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Possess excellent leadership qualities with experience in human relations or staff supervision
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Positive attitude, enthusiastic
  • Proficiency with MN Rule 3 Legislation, labor laws, and OSHA requirements or the ability to work on
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, problem solve, and multi-task
  • Professional appearance and demeanor both in and out of the Center
  • Current SIDS, First Aid/CPR certification required or ability to obtain these requirements
