Description

Position Summary
The position is responsible to maintain exceptional customer service relations with all Valley Queen milk producers. Must ensure that direct ship milk supplies meet established raw milk quality standards. This position will support the overall achievement of the company’s vision, mission and values.

Essential Functions

  • Provide exceptional service to all Valley Queen milk producers.
  • Ensure that all direct ship milk meets Valley Queen quality standards. Must work with the producer to resolve all problems when quality issues arise.
  • Monitor and communicate regulations governing the handling of raw milk when they impact haulers and producers.
  • Assist producers going through a facility renovation and/or expansion to ensure that all regulations are properly followed.
  • Ensure producers are prepared for state and federal inspections of their facility. Maintain IMS listing for all Valley Queen BTUs
  • Responsible for completing FARM Animal Care and Farm Environmental Stewardship audits to ensure responsible management on all farm as well as deliver and discusses results with the producers.
  • Conduct and follow-up on farm evaluations for compliance in safety, animal care, sustainability and other related areas.
  • Monitor and ensure on farm safety for haulers.
  • Responsible for evaluating, monitoring and ensuring on farm safety for haulers.
  • Understand and adhere to all food safety, GMPs, and OSHA policies and procedures.
  • Understand and contribute to the success of the department’s Level 2 scorecard.
  • Provide support and backup for Senior Field Representative as needed.

Work Environment
This position is performed in outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and days of work are generally Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This position may provide on-call backup support in the absence of Procurement Supervisors.

Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience & Certifications
High school diploma or GED is required for this position. Must have basic dairy industry knowledge and farm background. Maintain a valid Field Representative license. Proficiency in basic computer skills.

Preferred Education, Experience & Certifications
A 4-year degree in dairy or ag related field is preferred. Prefer valid CDL with Tanker Endorsement, health certificate, and SD/MN Bulk Haulers License. Prior knowledge with antibiotic lab testing. Prefer bilingual in English/Spanish.
